Will Hodgman
Hodgman co-founded M:Metrics in early 2004. Already, the company represents the industry standard for measurement of consumer consumption of mobile content and applications. As co-founder, president, CEO and director, Hodgman is responsible for the strategic direction of the company.
Prior to M:Metrics, Hodgman was president and CEO of Sightward, Inc., a predictive analytics company. At Sightward he radically shifted the company's direction from an enterprise offering to a hosted service, resulting in a profitable sale to Digital Connexxions, a deal Hodgman brokered. Before Sightward, Hodgman was executive vice president of NetRatings, provider of the Nielsen//NetRatings services, where he was responsible for the company's product offerings, sales, marketing, measurement science and business development. He came to NetRatings by way of Jupiter Media Metrix, where he served as president of measurement after Jupiter Media Metrix acquired AdRelevance, a company he founded.
Early in his career, Hodgman held executive positions at the largest global marketing communication company, Interpublic Group of Companies. There, he managed advertising for some of the world's most well-known brands.
Hodgman is a nationally recognized speaker on the subjects of marketing, advertising, and new media measurement. He is also a member of the Board of Advisors for the Masters Program in Digital Media at the University of Washington.
Hodgman received a bachelor's degree in English literature from Williams College.
Seamus McAteer
As co-founder, chief product architect and senior analyst at M:Metrics, McAteer determines how services are shaped to match client needs. He is also the company's primary evangelist.
McAteer has been analyzing the wireless industry since its inception and has been assisting clients in the wireless and portable computing sectors since the early 1990s. Most recently, McAteer was managing partner at Zelos Group, a boutique advisory services firm focused on wireless and voice applications. Prior to founding Zelos Group, McAteer was a director and research fellow with Jupiter Research, where he headed Jupiter's coverage of new technologies and services. Before joining Jupiter, McAteer focused on wireless services and pervasive computing as a senior analyst with SRI International.
McAteer is frequently sought as a speaker and expert commentator. He has been quoted in numerous international media outlets, including: the New York Times, USA Today, Nikkei Weekly, Wired Magazine, the Associated Press and a variety of trade journals. He has made frequent TV and radio appearances, commenting on technology issues for CNN, Fox News, NPR and TechTV. McAteer often speaks at prestigious industry events.
He received an undergraduate degree at Trinity College Dublin, and a Diploma in Advanced Marketing Techniques from the Dublin Institute of Technology.
Barbara Jarzab
As chief of measurement science at M:Metrics, Jarzab is responsible for consumer research methodologies and measurement data reporting.
Prior to joining M:Metrics, Jarzab was vice president and chief of measurement science at NetRatings, provider of the Nielsen//NetRatings services, the Internet industry's source for media and market research. As the chief of measurement science, Jarzab was responsible for directing methodology and product standards for all global Nielsen//NetRatings products as well as contributing to executive-level strategic planning.
Earlier in her career, Jarzab served as senior vice president for panel analytics and product management at Information Resources, a global leader in providing market content, analytic services and business performance management solutions to the consumer packaged goods industry. At IRI, Jarzab held a variety of positions with increasing levels of responsibility over 15 years, focusing mainly on panel-based products and services.
Jarzab earned a master's degree in social policy research from the University of Chicago and a bachelor's degree in economics from De Paul University.
Mark Klebanoff
As CFO at M:Metrics, Klebanoff oversees the financial, legal and human resources operations at M:Metrics.
Prior to his role as CFO at M:Metrics, Klebanoff was CFO of AccessLine Communciations, where he recently orchestrated the company’s successful sale to Telanetix, Inc. Klebanoff came to AccessLine through his previous role as managing director at Alexander Hutton Venture Partners (AHVP), where he oversaw a number of investments in the Seattle market.
Klebanoff spent three years with RealNetworks, as the company's first CFO and then as vice president of business development. He was instrumental in the company's early capital raising efforts culminating in its 1997 IPO. Klebanoff also managed the extremely rapid growth of RealNetworks' operations, including human resources, facilities, information systems, customer service and technical support.
Previously, Klebanoff was vice president of Industrial Systems, a client-server industrial process application developer. Klebanoff oversaw all aspects of finance and operations and shepherded the company through a successful sale to Aspen Technology in 1995. Klebanoff has a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management.
Bob Hooven
At M:Metrics Hooven is responsible for sales and business development and manages many aspects of customer relationships.
Prior to joining M:Metrics, Hooven was director of sales for the High Tech West group of Forrester Research, Inc., where he developed and led a team dedicated to growing Forrester's most valued technology vendor clients.
Hooven also served as vice president and general manager of international operations for NetRatings, provider of the Nielsen//NetRatings services, the Internet industry's source for media and market research. Under his leadership, NetRatings expanded its international presence to more than 20 countries. Hooven was a member of the founding NetRatings team and began as vice president of sales in 1997, building the sales team and client base toward a successful IPO in 1999.
Prior to joining NetRatings, Hooven spent eight years with Cornerstone Imaging, including four years in Europe managing the company's international expansion. In his most recent position, Hooven led Cornerstone's sales activities as vice president of worldwide sales.
Hooven earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Norwich University.
Brian Fleisher
As vice president, business development, Brian Fleisher is responsible for building partnerships and strategic initiatives for M:Metrics.
Before joining M:Metrics, Fleisher developed strategies and business plans to extend Amazon's brand into mobile. In this role, he worked closely with the leading wireless companies including Nokia, which shipped the N73 with Amazon software included.
As director, business development for AT&T Wireless, Fleisher was instrumental in bringing new wireless data services and technologies to market. Fleisher played a key role in launching the Ogo data messaging device and service through partnerships with device developers, network platform providers and portal partners AOL, MSN and Yahoo!.
Prior to his role at AT&T, Fleisher served as director, business development at RealNetworks, where he defined and executed strategies with mobile companies to deliver rich media over wireless networks. In this capacity, he secured a multi-year alliance between Real and Nokia, and agreements with Ericsson, Intel, PalmSource, Symbian and Texas Instruments.
Fleisher began his career in the technology sector at Adobe Systems, where he spent seven years in various international sales and business development positions.
Fleisher received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington, and studied international business at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.
Hervé Le Jouan
As managing director, Europe, Le Jouan oversees M:Metrics' European operations and business development.
Before joining M:Metrics, Le Jouan was senior vice president at MediaMétrie, a French media measurement firm, where he was responsible for the global management of the firm's new services related to cross-media consumption. Previously, Le Jouan was managing director of Nielsen//NetRatings, France and vice president, business development and technology for Nielsen//NetRating's international division. While at Nielsen//NetRatings, Le Jouan managed research and development, production, sales, and marketing. He also was responsible for the integration of the business he co-founded, NetValue. Founded in 1998, NetValue was one of the first European firms to measure Internet advertising. After growing to more than 250 employees and listed on France's Nouveau Marché, it was acquired by Nielsen//NetRatings in 2002. Le Jouan founded NetValue after his tenure at Netscape, where he director of business development. Before Netscape, Le Jouan founded his first company, Helix, after a serving as a software engineer and project manager at CONCEPT, a company that developed financial management software.
Le Jouan received a degree in engineering from the Université de Technologie de Compiégne, where he specialized in artificial intelligence.
Mark Donovan
At M:Metrics Donovan is responsible for product development and marketing. He also contributes to consulting assignments and editorial matters.
Before joining M:Metrics, Donovan worked for RealNetworks, where he helped define new business opportunities for mobile operators, handset manufacturers and content providers worldwide and brought mobile technologies and services to market. As director of mobile strategy and later director of mobile services, Donovan helped RealNetworks become the leading global supplier of infrastructure for the delivery of audio and video to mobile phones. He also led the team that launched North America's first commercial mobile video services.
Prior to RealNetworks, Donovan was a principal in a technology start-up and also served as director of UWired, a University of Washington program that has become an international model for effective uses of technology in higher education. Donovan also led development of the award-winning Catalyst Project, which reinvented the way that innovations in teaching and technology are cultivated, promoted and supported.
Donovan has more than a decade of experience conducting survey research, data analysis, and modeling for the academic, public, and private sectors. Throughout his career he has been a prolific author and speaker on new media and mobility.
Donovan holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Washington, a master's degree in public policy from San Diego State University and a bachelor's degree in business and entrepreneurship from Loyola Marymount University.
Paul Goode
As senior vice president, business development + senior analyst, Goode oversees M:Metrics' European offerings and product development team. He also assists M:Metrics clients with interpretation of M:Metrics data and provides insightful commentary to the media.
Most recently, Goode served as director, managed developer programs for Metrowerks. Under his leadership, Metrowerks assisted the major mobile operators and handset manufacturers to create and run their developer and partner communities. Goode came to Metrowerks from Motorola, where he oversaw the entertainment server group, which delivered Motorola's hosted java and entertainment platforms. While in this capacity, Goode was a founder of the Mobile Game Interoperability Forum, which he later merged into the OMA. Prior to his work with in the mobile development community, Goode co-founded Motorola's m-commerce venture, PersonalOffer.com, which enhanced broadcast radio with real-time music sales and interactive advertising using voiceXML. At De La Rue (Oberthur), Goode worked with Motorola and the world's leading financial institutions to create a two-slot mobile phone to reload electronic cash, which seemed a good idea at the time.
Goode is a graduate of Oxford University, where he studied classical literature, ancient history and philosophy - the perfect education for the world of mobile content.
Steve Perrin
As vice president, engineering, Steve Perrin is responsible for the development and deployment of the M:Meter and MobiLens, M:Metrics' flagship syndicated data service.
Over the course of his career, Perrin has refined his expertise to developing software for mobile computing. Most recently, he developed software and firmware for Vulcan, Inc.'s FlipStart, an ultra-portable PC that provides quick access to e-mail, contacts and calendar information without opening the FlipStart lid.
Prior to Vulcan, Perrin designed and developed software for Sproqit Technologies, which gives mobile users access to desktop applications over slow wireless connections. Perrin led a team of engineers to port the Sproqit architecture from Windows Mobile to PalmOS and J2ME operating systems.
Perrin spent six years at Traveling Software, developing the firm's award-winning LapLink product, which allows mobile users access to remote machines using cable, modem or network connections. Previously, he was a software engineer at Sun Microsystems. His career also includes engineering positions at Hablador, Construx Software, IS2 Incorporated and Sandia National Laboratories.
Perrin received dual Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Washington.
Evan Neufeld
Evan Neufeld oversees M:Metrics consulting practice. A well-respected analyst in the fields of new media, advertising and interactive marketing, Neufeld's experience includes senior-level roles at NPDTechworld and Jupiter Research, where he was a founding analyst of Jupiter's well-known digital advertising research practice.
Neufeld was most recently a principal at Storyline Development, an independent consultancy helping companies to develop, evolve and market products and services involving digital media and consumer interactivity.
Earlier, he was vice president of industry analysis at NPDTechworld. There he focused on developing advisory services analyzing technological convergence and its impact on key consumer and business sectors for clients like AOL, SONY and HP.
Beginning in 1996, Neufeld was part of the research and management team at Jupiter Research, most recently as senior vice president of global research. In that role he managed Jupiter's research charter for marketing and media, industries, international research, as well as overseeing all research operations. Neufeld was a founding analyst of Jupiter's well-known digital advertising research practice, where he was both a senior analyst and practice director. In this capacity, he developed the first online advertising forecasts and analysis anywhere.
Before Jupiter, Neufeld was a principal analyst at WebTrack, covering the first developments in interactive advertising and marketing, as well as holding a variety of marketing positions in the publishing industry. He has been quoted in major media outlets such as The New York Times, Business Week, The Wall Street Journal, Ad Age, Media Week and CNET, and has appeared on CNBC, Wall Street Week and ABC News. Evan is an active participant in industry associations such as the MMA and IAB, and is a member of ad:tech’s advisory board.
Jaimee Minney
In her role as vice president, corporate communications, Jaimee Minney oversees public relations and corporate communications for M:Metrics globally.
Minney joined M:Metrics in 2004, where she led the company’s launch, and has since established M:Metrics as the most quoted source on the mobile market.
Prior to joining M:Metrics, Minney was president and CEO of Stellacom Public Relations, an agency she founded to address the specific needs of mobile companies and the venture capital firms that fund them. The agency represented some of the most influential companies and thought leaders in the mobile industry.
Previously, Minney was an account supervisor at OnPR, a boutique PR agency focused on mobile and enterprise software companies. There, she directed the company’s wireless practice and led most of the firm’s major accounts, earning a reputation for winning prominent coverage for small companies, including cover stories in national business media.
Minney earned her Bachelor’s Degree in public relations from Drake University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
